Time for some changes…

27th October 2009

New things are happening here at Easy Craft Projects!

Along with the new DT (applications close this Saturday!!), we have had some new and exciting things brewing behind the scenes at ECP.

We are launching our very own Challenge Blog! Every fortnight we will be bringing you a new challenge to inspire you - this may be a sketch, a colour combination or something to show our projects in a whole new way. We will be bringing news of our DT search for the challenge blog later this week. Until then you can check out our challenge blog at http://ecpchallenges.blogspot.com!

Also, as of Sunday 1st November, Craft Journal will be joining forces with ECP and becoming our official blog! This is where you will find news of all the latest crafting releases, craft reviews and so much more.

Available from 7th August!

blanketsbearsbootees

The latest in a series of baby and children’s hand-knit books, Debbie Bliss’s ‘Blankets, Bears and Bootees’ is beautifully put together. Pages of full colour photographs lie between gorgorgeous patterns that are guaranteed to capture your eye.

The book opens up with an easy to follow contents section. Each pattern is listed along with a colour photograph of the item, allowing you to glance at all the projects in one go.

booteeThe first section of the book is called ‘knitting basics’. This section introduces the yarns, garment care and the techniques needed. Everything is explained clearly with coloured diagrams - making this book ideal for even a beginner.

The patterns themselves are easy to follow. They all include large colour photographs of the finished project, size materials needed and abbreviated instructions (all explained in the introductory section).

The projects include blankets, knitted toys, bootees, other clothing, a memory book, building blocks and more. The clothing projects are designed for babies aged 3-6 months but many can be adapted for up to at least 18 months.

We would highly recommend this book for anyone looking for beautiful, modern and something a little different for their young ones. It will not disappoint.

This book is produced by Quadrille Publishing and is available for only £14.99 RRP.

normaWe’re finding our about our second newest DT member today  Norma Kennedy.

Here’s what Norma has to say about herself…

“My name is Norma Kennedy.
I like to laugh, create and take pictures.

The problem is I also like to paint, I like to sew, I like to cook and I really really like to read. So when I’m not busy doing these things I like spending time with the people I love.

The ones I love are : My AWESOME Husband Damien of 14yrs and my three FANTASTIC children Cade, Seth and Isabella.

Its my AWESOME hubby who encourages me to not only document our lives but really enables me to be creative. Some days you can find him in my scrap room right along side of me creating a project or 2.

I have been very fortunate to have had my Art work and Photography published in many magazines and books but the best part of sharing my work is the friendships I have made along the way.

It is an honor to create along side such
fantastic talent here at ECP !”

Here are a few pieces of Norma’s work…
